The non-stick surface makes cooking and cleaning with cast iron a breeze. Other benefits of using cast iron pots include the tightness seal between lids and pots which helps to keep food moist and the heat preservation that allows food to remain warm and ready to serve for up to 15 minutes post its cooking time. 

Q: What is enamel coating?

A: Enamel coating is a food grade surface that is acid and alkali resistant. In addition to these properties, it is also a non-stick coating, keeping food from adhering to it, making the pan easy to keep clean. Enamel coatings are subject to strict testing and international compliance rules, thus ensuring their safety.

Q: Do I need to pre-season my cast iron pots?

A: One of the most important components of using cast iron pots is pre-seasoning. Pre-seasoning through the use of one of our recommended nitriding ingredients helps the pan to remain rust-free throughout its lifetime.

Q: What do you recommend for pre-seasoning my Eqotopia pots?

A: There are several different nitriding ingredients we recommend for pre-seasoning Eqotopia pots. Our favourites include soybean oil, flaxseed oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, and canola oil.
